Inside | Out is an encyclopedia dedicated to the plurality of humanity and the ways in which these idiosyncrasies are translated and expressed in print. The encyclopedia focuses on the output of various schools of thought, ideologies, movements and subcultures, intending to compare and contrast the generally impersonal nature of a standard encyclopedia entry, with the visual and written output of the movements themselves. One is an attempt at objective description, the other a form of subjective expression.
BOUND: Emerging Perspectives on Contemporary Australian Publishing is an annual publication published by Bowen Street Press. The book's interior consists of an array of photographs depicting urban landscapes and architectural closeups. The cover intends to consolidate this through the use of bold, geometric typography, emphasising scale in order to establish a sense of monumentality, corresponding to the air of apprehension pervasive throughout.
WHAT'S UR @? is a publication focusing on the ways in which our online personas are an accurate reflection of our true selves. By presenting the output of a person's Instagram profile aside an interview with them about it, the book intends to encourage the reader to reflect on how accurately we are able to gauge a person's true character online.
